BATTILAC

When the club nights took off, I was regularly asked to DJ. The requests were mostly politely declined due to not having time to take it seriously. I wanted to keep it fun, play a few tracks & drink coronas.

Then, XOYO offered a series of dates on incredible line ups, including Eats Everything, François K, Duke Dumont, Ivan Smagghe & Hercules & Love Affair. And it would have been silly not to.

I teamed up with Sophie Bremaud & called it BATTILAC. We played a mix of darkwave, electronica & a bit of techno, aka D-I-S-C-O-G-O-T-H.

BATTILAC was building a decent following with sets all over, from mega clubs, sweaty basement bars to Italo discotecas. But I had just opened a bar (& fallen in love too 🥰). Like D-Sol, would it be the day job or DJ dream?

Now, ten years on & being super nostalgic, BATTILAC is back, with producer Kerry Priest.
